The history of your hosts :

After having admired and dreamed about this house, whose terrace overlooks the market place in L'Isle sur la Sorgue, Frédéric and Marie-Claude finally acquired it in July 2002. Situated near the town centre, backing onto the river Sorgue, this private dwelling enchanted them with its numerous rooms, from the cool entrance hall to the wonderful garden with its imposing plane tree.

Marie-Claude and Frédéric share a love of books, travel and fine food. In each room you will find a large choice of books. Objects bought back from their travels complement the warm and comfortable décor.

Influenced by the season and their love of food, you can discover some of their favourite recipes: Leg of lamb with olives and fresh gnocchis, curried coconut crab, sundried tomato risotto and when in season, clams, artichokes, asparagus, stuffed vegetables, a provencal speciality…

Marie-Claude was born in Isle sur la Sorgue. She can advise you on the most beautiful walks and the most interesting trips to take. With their two daughters Chloé and Manon, as keen horseriders, they know all the finest treks throughout the Luberon and the Camargue and can organise any horseriding you wish to do.

The men of the house Frédéric and their son Leo can reserve tennis courts and golf for you and in addition they can take you on a fabulous canoe ride down the Sorgue.
