Hans Silvester - 60 years of photographies

Hans Silvester received the International Planet Albert Kahn Award in December 2022 for his entire career and for his testimonies of a period from 1960 to the present day. Thanks to his openness to the world, the sharpness of his photographer’s eye and his sense of beauty, he transmits us iconic images representing everyday characters, witnesses of a culture, a place, a moment... The eye of the photographer freezes a fleeting moment to recall what constitutes our history. As such, he is both an artist, a sociologist, a historian, a defender of cultures and nature through an approach based on trust and observation.
